Propagation by root runners

This is done particularly easily via so-called root runners, which the 'Rose de Resht' produces in abundance. This type of rose is extremely vigorous and quickly grows over your head unless it is cut regularly or even kept in a bucket. You can prick the root runners with one in late summer or autumn spade from and dig them out carefully. The young plants can then be left immediately to their new location.

Propagate 'Rose de Resht' by cuttings

Propagation via cuttings also works very well with the robust 'Rose de Resht'. The roughly 15 to 20 centimeters long, well-lignified cuttings are cut in August or September and should be placed individually in plant pots and wintered in a cool, but frost-free place.

• If possible, cut several cuttings from shoots that have just withered.
• Hold the cut surface at a slight angle to make it easier for the cutting to absorb water.
• Remove the flower head and all side shoots and leaves except for the top pair of leaves.
• Dip the cut surface to be rooted in a rooting substrate.
• Plant each cutting individually in a plant pot.

Cuttings can also be used well
