Where is the problem?
With horizontal and now and then also with vertical log splitters, one problem occurs again and again: The log splitter no longer starts up, so it gets stuck in the wood, so to speak. There can be different reasons.
Causes of malfunction
First of all, you should make sure that there is a defect at all and check the following:
- Does the log splitter have enough gasoline or is the power supply available?
- Is the wood that hard or too big?
- Has the log splitter been supplied with sufficient oil and hydraulic fluid?
Once you've checked these basics, it's time to do the small-scale work. In order to be able to take a closer look at your log splitter, you should remove the cover. then
look for spills, leaking hoses, and loose bolts. Because the error can have the following causes, among others:

- Oil filter clogged

How to fix your log splitter
