How do you water triplet flowers properly?

The ball of the pot must never dry out completely, but also not get too wet. The triple flower does not tolerate waterlogging!

Do not water until the surface of the substrate is dry. Use soft water. Always pour off excess irrigation water immediately.

When do triplets have to be fertilized?

From spring onwards, fertilization is carried out at one-month intervals. During the flowering period fertilize A triple flower every two weeks with a fertilizer for flowering plants.

If you have a Triple flower as a bonsai pull, the plant will be provided with fertilizer more often during the summer.

How are bougainvilleas cut?

Triplets need one Cut backso that they branch out vigorously and form many new flowers.

In the spring, the shoots are cut in half. Later only slight shape cuts are made.

Before you put the bougainvillea into winter quarters in autumn, you can also prune it back so that the plant has enough space. You can light them up a bit.

When is repotting on the program?

Repotting always takes place when the pot is well rooted. Given the rapid growth of the plant, this can be the case every spring. It's time for a new pot when the roots peek out of the drainage hole below.

Which diseases and pests occur?

mildew is a common problem. This fungal disease shows up in gray or white Toppings on the leaves. The reason is excessive bale moisture or stagnant air.

Scale insects are more common pests. If the infestation is light, you can rub the leaves off. If the infestation is severe, use commercially available spray agents.

How is a triple flower overwintered?

You should keep triple flowers cooler in winter at three to twelve degrees. If the plant is too warm in winter, blooms them little or not at all.

Pour very sparingly. If the bougainvillea is in too dark a location overwintered it will lose its leaves. It is a normal process.
