Both persimmon and citrus trees have theirs origin in Asia. The fruits are available all year round in our fruit shop. On the supermarket shelf, the oranges and the persimmons could be confused from a distance because of the similarity of color and size. Persimmon plants
The persimmon trees belong to the ebony family, while the citrus plants belong to the rhombus family. The citrus trees are evergreen, the persimmon trees are deciduous trees. The citrus trees are susceptible to many diseases and pests, and they require intensive care for good yield. In contrast, the persimmon trees are pronounced easy-care.
