Voles and water
Voles often live in bank areas and are very good swimmers. Some species of the vole, such as the great vole, which even lives in the water on floating islands, can dive for several minutes. Your vole is therefore very unlikely to drown. However, voles don't like water in the bedroom any more than humans, which is why voles don't like water kill, but to evict can.

Put vole expansion under water
Vole outlets are branched, often very long and all connected to one another. Therefore, they can be easily put under water. The procedure is very simple:
- Expose the entrance of a hallway so that your Garden hose fits well in the opening.
- Turn on the water and wait.
- Choose another entrance hole and flood this too.
- Repeat the process several times throughout the day.
Manure instead of water
Wet corridors dry out and the vole may come back. To keep them away from your burrow forever, we advise you to use liquid manure or liquid instead of water
Buttermilk to use. Even after drying, these strongly smelling substances leave behind a stench that the vole cannot stand for long. You can make liquid manure from different garden plants, nettles are often used.- Locate several entrances and choose a hole as an “escape hole” into which they do not pour manure.
- Pour at least half a liter of liquid manure into all of the other holes.
- Repeat after a week if necessary.
Tips
Nettle manure is also a great fertilizer and provides your lawn with many valuable nutrients.
