You can only fix plastic models if the damage is not too great. In the case of wooden beach chairs, you should have the mesh repaired by a specialist.

Renew the braid

If the mesh of a plastic beach chair has dissolved, you can only repair it yourself if the damage is minor. Put strong tape like duct tape over the spots. However, this only helps for a short time.

You shouldn't repair braids made of wood or rattan yourself. In almost every place there are special companies that are familiar with this type of braiding. The resulting costs are worthwhile if you consider how expensive it is to purchase a new beach chair.

New cover for cushions and covers

If the covers and cushions of the beach chair are worn out, you can repair them yourself. All you have to do is sew new covers out of the most durable fabric possible.

Maintain beach chairs well

Set up the beach chair so that it is protected from frost in winter, even if it is designated as weatherproof. Most damage is caused by frost and moisture. A protective cover is usually not enough.
