Planting in baskets or on the pond floor?
The use of mesh baskets made of plastic, coconut fiber or wicker is particularly popular in swimming ponds. Filled with soil and covered with a thin layer of pebble, the plants can easily be placed directly in the basin and taken out again for maintenance. If it is to be planted directly in the pond floor, it is better to work only locally and only with a little sand and gravel, as the water is completely sufficient as a nutrient supplier.
