description

One of the main attractions of the extensive area is likely to be the axis of the water that is being planned Garden architect Reinhold Lingner at the interface between the historic park and the new one Had exhibition grounds laid out. Surrounded by tall trees, you can relax here wonderfully.

If you would like to let your gaze wander over the area, it is worthwhile to climb to the viewing platform at 272 meters above sea level. The observation tower is one of the oldest parts of the fortress Cyriaksburg that has been preserved and was built in 1530 as a southern gun turret.

In the Egapark, children can play and run around to their heart's content. The well-designed playground was recently modernized. Bean train, strawberry cactus slide, watercress races, pole hanging and many other attractions ensure variety. On the farm, the children can not only experience animals up close, but can even create their own beds.

Tips

The Hainich National Park is not far from Erfurt. At 130 km², this ridge is the largest contiguous deciduous forest area in Germany. The Hainich is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because the remains of uncut primeval beech forests of Central European characteristics grow here.
