Calathea ornata

Its leaves are dark green on top and have symmetrical pink stripes that are somewhat reminiscent of pinstripes: the species name ornate does not mean "decorated" in vain. The underside of the leaf Calathea ornata is colored dark red. The 'Beauty Star' variety in particular has very beautiful leaf markings. The plant grows more wide than tall: a low 40 to 50 cm is the final height of the decorated wicker plant. But it develops all the longer leaves - one can already be 60 cm long.
