Welschisner is a very old (17th century) Century), apple variety from Upper Austria with medium-sized to large fruits. As a classic winter apple, the fruits ripen towards the middle to the end of October and only reach maturity in January. The variety is known for its good, low-acid taste and rich yield.

I'm a graduate industrial engineer, but I've always been an enthusiastic hobby gardener at heart. I have been growing fruit and vegetables in my own garden for over ten years, and my passion lies above all in rare and special varieties.
Favorite fruit: Red-fleshed peaches and pluots (apricot/plum hybrid)
Favorite vegetables: kale, tomatoes and cardoon
