The oleander stands for the letter "O" in our glossary, and thus also for all potted plants to which the oleander usually belongs in our latitudes.
You can only use your Oleanders not only decorate the garden and terrace in spring and summer, but also put them outside in winter with some protection permit. However, the average climate in Germany is in the Mediterranean region or Plants native to the Orient, such as the oleander, tend not to be weighed down, it covers climate zones 6 and 7, which means minus temperatures of minus 12 degrees to over minus 20 degrees. For those who don't like these plants at all, just one day of exposure to such temperatures could kill these usually very ornamental plants.
Our glossary guides you to the individual pot plants and their special needs. In addition to oleanders, agaves, many palm trees and citrus plants usually have to be kept in pots. Bamboo and bougainvillea, leadwort and bridal myrtle, clematis and angel's trumpets are also often planted in a bucket, Honeysuckle, pomegranate and hibiscus and cassia, laurel and olive tree, rosemary and African lilies, daisies, roses and many other.
In total, several hundred species of exotic plants are sold in our garden centers and online offered, which survive only in buckets, i.e. outdoors in summer and protected in the house in winter can. However, as you can see from the selection just mentioned, plants are also often kept in pots because they look particularly decorative in the pot and are easy to move around. These plants also want to be treated differently when grown in pots than when they grow outdoors, the relevant information for each individual plant should you find it in the respective entries in the glossary over time (if this is taking too long for you with a specific plant, feel free to email us send).
