Cut harlequin willow

If your harlequin willow is not a high trunk but an ordinary plant, you will still be able to keep the growth small with regular pruning. Harlequin willows can also tolerate a heavy cut up to a few centimeters above the ground. The frequency is the most important criterion when cutting the ornamental willow. In addition, shaped cuts are recommended in order to preserve the aesthetics.

Although the ornamental form Hakuro Nishiki does not gain so much in height, it is still stronger than other plants underground. This is particularly important for keeping the bucket. Make sure that the pot has sufficient volume. If you prefer to keep them in a bucket, this has a positive effect on low growth. Over time, the tree gets used to the conditions and grows more slowly than plants in normal soil.
