Purple loosestrife 'Blush'
- Flower color: delicate pink
- maximum growth height: 40 to 60 cm
In contrast to other varieties, the flower of this species appears a little more subtle. It does not glow purple, but has its own charm with its delicate pastel pink. The purple loosestrife 'Blush' can therefore be combined wonderfully with other perennials. Yellow or sky-blue blooming plants create a wonderfully romantic look.
Purple loosestrife 'Robert'
- Flower color: purple
- maximum growth height: 80 cm
The purple-looking flower candles of the purple loosestrife 'Robert' have a narrow shape. Planted in groups, however, the result is a compact sea of flowers, which many insects also enjoy. Unfortunately, this variety flowers a little shorter than its relatives. The buds close as early as August and prepare for autumn.
Purple loosestrife 'Swirl'
- Flower color: fireplace pink
- maximum growth height: 60 cm
The purple loosestrife 'Swirl' delights with the typical pink flowers that make the ornamental plant so popular. But the bright color is a fallacy. Unfortunately, this variety is a specimen with double flowers. For insects this means that the search for nectar is in vain here. The purple loosestrife 'Swirl' is therefore not suitable for luring beneficial insects into the garden. However, the property of double flowers also has advantages. Are you allergic to insect bites? Then you can confidently place this variety on the terrace.
