Build your own garden table out of WPC and wood

A good and above all inexpensive alternative to purchased wooden garden tables is a table made of wood and WPC that you build yourself. To do this, you need manual skills, some material and a few tools:

• Miter saw
• (Cordless) screwdriver
• Sandpaper
• Folding rule

Before you go shopping, draw a plan so that you can determine the size of the garden table and see what material you will need. These templates also contain all of the necessary materials so that they can serve as a shopping list.

Buy wood and WPC in hardware stores

When you know how long and how tall you want the garden table to be, it's time to get hold of all the supplies. In the hardware store, the wood for the legs and the WPC panels can be cut to size on request. This will make it much easier to assemble the table later.

You can also borrow tools from hardware stores if you don't have a suitable saw or cordless screwdriver.

Pay attention to safety when building it yourself

The WPC panels are connected to one another by crossbars. The table legs are then screwed on at the bottom. Work as precisely as possible so that the garden table does not wobble later.

After assembly, sand down the wood and WPC panels well on all rough corners so that nobody can get injured on them later.

Why is WPC suitable for a garden table

WPC is a composite of wood and plastic. This not only makes this material lighter, but also more resistant to rain and other weather conditions. The wood content of WPC must be at least 30 percent. The material is malleable and does not splinter.
