The right location
Pick a good location for the sandpit right from the start. It should not be in direct sunlight so that the children can play in it undisturbed in summer. If you don't have a suitable space, provide one Sandpit with a roof or a sun sail.
Close to trees is an inconvenient location for setting up the sandpit, as many petals in spring and foliage in autumn pollute the sand. You will then have to clean the sand frequently. In addition, the roots of the tree can damage the structure.
Keep in mind that it is not so easy to move a sandpit around - unless you have opted for a movable model. In the best case scenario, the sandpit can be left in place until the children are too big for it.
Make sure there is a good subsurface
Do not place the sandpit directly on the lawn. The grass grows through the sand so you have a lot of work to do with it.
The terrace is well suited as a substrate. If you choose a location where the sandpit is directly on top of lawn or soil, lay Weed control(€ 13.47 at Amazon *) underneath. This not only keeps the weeds out, but also prevents that Ants the sandpit settle.
Eliminate danger to children
When assembling the sandpit, follow the instructions exactly. Make sure that all parts are securely screwed or mortised together. Countersink screws so that children cannot injure themselves.
Tips
You can also put the sandpit directly into the Let in the earth. However, this requires a lot of digging work. In any case, lay a fleece or a wooden floor at the bottom.
