This is how big a beech tree grows

  • Height: 40 meters, occasionally 45 meters

  • Trunk: up to 2 meters in diameter
  • Growth per year: 40 to 50 centimeters

The beech develops a very even treetop. In a fully grown tree, the crown reaches a size with which it can shade 600 square meters.

The annual growth of a beech
