Which varieties are suitable
There are an estimated 4,000 Chilli varieties with individual colors, flavors and degrees of sharpness. If the choice is difficult for you, opt for the easy-to-multiply Capsicum annuum. In principle, you can use seeds of ripe yellow, red or orange chillies from the supermarket and your own Growing chillies. Green varieties are not suitable because their seeds cannot germinate.

When seeds germinate
Given the right environmental conditions, the seeds will open regardless of the season. They need high humidity, lots of light and temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius. Ideally, start with the sowing in the mini greenhouse at the end of December so that the plants will grow vigorously by the next harvest season. April is the last month of sowing for a harvest that is to take place in the same year.
How long it will take your seeds to germinate depends on the strain you choose and the conditions. It usually takes seven to 14 days. Sometimes the first leaflets show up after three days, while some varieties take 25 days.
Sow seeds
