Recognize a fern
It is not difficult to recognize ferns, but it is very difficult to identify them precisely by species. All ferns belong to the class of vascular spore plants. They are divided into roots, stems and leaves. There are deciduous, evergreen and evergreen species, although the evergreen species in this country are not hardy.
Most ferns have pinnate fronds. They unroll in a snail-like shape as they shoot. On their underside are the spores that ripen in summer and are used for reproduction. Ferns do not develop flowers, fruits or seeds.
