Are you allowed to maintain coral moss outside in summer?

As long as the temperatures are not too low, the coral moss appreciates a place on the balcony. Put it in a bright, not too sunny place.

How do you water coral moss properly?

The substrate must never dry out completely. However, waterlogging is harmful and must be avoided at all costs. Before you pour, do the thumb test to see if the top layer of the substrate is dry.

Immediately discard any excess irrigation water.

You should only cut coral moss if the shoots are too long and thin.

By cutting runners or dividing the rootstock, the coral moss can easily be reproduced by yourself.

Are there any diseases and pests to watch out for?

Diseases occur when you water the plant too much. Waterlogging causes putrefaction. There are hardly any pests.

How is coral moss properly overwintered?

Coral moss is not hardy and does not tolerate freezing temperatures. It must therefore be brought into the house in good time in autumn and wintered frost-free.

The coral moss develops its flowers in spring and the bright red berries in summer only when the plant is moved to a bright but cool location in winter.

The winter temperatures should be ten degrees.

Tips

Since coral moss doesn't root in the aquarium, you have to untie. Otherwise, the plants will swim around all over the pool.
